This week's spellings!

As we're getting towards the end of the year, it's a good idea to target those words that get spelt incorrectly quite often! :-)
Remember that you can revise them using the Spelling City website!

Ceri's 100wc - week 35:

Dear Diary,

Today was petrifying, It was the end of the world as i knew it. The light was so bright it was blinding. I'm utterly scared. I'm crying in my sleep just thinking about it. It was so dark and mysterious I was not sure what it was. Until it got me!

I was rolling around in agony, the pain was treacherous. It’s saw like hands tore through my arm it was pouring out blood endlessly. I kept pressure on it but no use it wouldn't stop.

I was going to die of blood loss. I am still suffering now only a matter of time.

Cayla's 100wc - week 35:

Where am I , I'm lost with no where to go.I see the lights in the sky witch beam like the beaming sun, do i go in or do I stay. The light  blinded me. Suddenly I heard a crash it came from the woods I ran towards it , it was another light it was so bright I fell to the  ground . I wake to find I'm in the light it was so peaceful , then I feel something pulling me back. where I live is so boring I can't go, I won't go.

Jade's 100wc - week 35:

It was a dark , scary and frightening Halloween night , everyone was asleep, (not a single sound was heard.) Suddenly a light was so bright it could blind you. It was a spacecraft in the air shining on one house . The child woke and looked at the craft it was hard to see as the light was so bright , like flames, your eyes would feel like they're on fire. It started to make a sound as smoke was coming out of the front like water, the doors opened very slowly. There was something inside the craft. Was it an alien, from a different  dimension.

Alex's 100wc - week 35:

The light was so bright that when you looked at it, your face baked itself an potato... but it was so hot it exploded!
The light was so bright that if you lined it up with the sun,(well obviously the sun would win because the light would disintegrate in the atmosphere.)
The light was so bright that if you shone it up in the night sky it would travel light years and shoot down UFOs for the discovery channel...
The light is, no longer, bright...
Its just like any normal bulb, just lighting up homes.
But it will always be special... To me?

Dylan's 100wc - week 35:

The light was so bright that when anyone looked directly at this blinding light they would be hit by a train...

Tons of people die every day to the now known as the ‘Ghost Train’. After you get hit the legend is you watch your death...

You never see the Ghost Train coming... It always comes... But no one know when...

This light is now known as ‘Death’, Death can not be destroyed, if Death was destroyed we would all die...

Sammy's 100wc, week 35:

I looked up where was I, the light was so bright it was blinding me.I was trapped.”help help! “I screamed trying to find help but there was no help no hope just me and no one else. With out warning there was a sudden bang.by now I was egstremly frightened and terrfed.I bravely had the guts to go and egslaer this place I tip-towed. In one of the last rooms it was as hot as a oven but the only thing stuck in my mind was how I was going to get out of this terrible world.

Our Darwin Day video!

This afternoon for Darwin Day we had a great conversation about worries and how to deal with them. We particularly talked about the Year Sixes worries about moving onto high school and the Year Fives feelings about heading into Year Six. Here's a video we made to give some advice to people in a similar situation!

Theme Park Maths Investigation!

In Ash class we are making theme parks to see how much it costs to run it each day for three seasons. We are also trying to make a profit. We have five hundred thousand pounds that we borrowed. Most people have spent a bit of their money and the rest spent loads of their money. Quite a few people haven't finished yet. When we are finished we have to swap our sheets with another pupil in the class. Then they will see how much we have to charge all the customers to get in. We received a sheet which has all the different attractions on it ( e.g. shops, roller coasters and so on). We have three different categories which have different rides in and different costs.

We'll let you know who has the most profit in a week's time or less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gaby's 100wc - week 33:

I'm Gary, I'm a worm, it's not that easy. You would think it would be boring being a worm. Well, it's not and it's boring just a little bit because you have a lot of exercise, actually you don't, that's just me...

I do the most exercise because I keep getting chased bye birds. It's really annoying! Once they nearly wripped me to shreads, I hate little baby chicks. I woke up this morning thinking that they will not get me. So I walked outside to have some fresh air. I brought a book out with me; no wonder they call me a book-worm! Guess what happened, you guessed it, the birds gobbled me up bit by bit.

Ben's 100wc - week 33:

"Help Help" I'm running as fast as a cheetah in mid-sprint. The birds swooped down attacking me poking me until I fall to the ground. Knocked out...

My eyes fade like im about to die What shall I do? Where should I go? Slowly I get up onto my feet I can't walk I'm like a baby just being taught to walk. I see nothing, nothing at all only huge trees. The trees were joined together like a crowd of vivid green umbrellas. The magnificent trees flung their branches up to the sun to frame the deep blue sky. Oh no the birds swooped down again now looking for more food.

Jonathan's 100wc - week 33:

The birds swooped down and took everything, including my mum. Ripping the soggy guts out of her: she's now vacant.

I started my adventurous adventure wandering through the woods dodging everything in my path. It happened again, the bird came again but this time for me. I hid in a bush, poison ivy. "Argh!" I screamed frantically, "P, P, P, P, Poison I, I, I, Ivy..."

I itched my way to shelter, to safety, my saviour. The door went knock, knock. I did that, but with the pain of punching glass. No-one answered, I was stuck here forever...

Ollie's 100wc - week 33:

Imagine a battle that seems to last forever, a battle that seems not worth fighting, a battle against giant birds: well that's the battle I'm fighting.

A smaller bird nose-dived at me, but I had my spear ready and launched it up at the pesky little thing and hit it on the back. Suddenly, a spine-chilling screech pierced the air. Out of the blue came a repulsive head followed by a repulsive body. It soared majestically through the sky, screeching every now and then. Suddenly the bird swooped down at me...

Holly's 100wc - week 33:

The birds swooped down and then everything started to go wrong. People were being murdered. Birds are bad luck. This is the one and only time you will be warned, so listen:

If you see birds coming towards you, run: run while you still can. Do you want to be their next victim?

I am doing this for you so you don't end up like me: dead. Don't give up your precious life to a flock of birds.

Run, run while you still can. You don't have to be the vicious bird's next victim!

Jade's 100wc - week 33:

Hello I'm Cormac and I'm a worm, my kind have to be carefull because the birds viciously watch our every move closely from the treetops. It is like being stared at endlessly, it gives you an intense feeling that goes on day and night. Every second of every day you know your being watched and look around you as you shiver with fear. There big yellow eyes move to the shape of your body, there's no stopping it. Suddenly the birds swoop down, as quick as a flash. Is this the end?

Sam B's 100wc - week 33:

I was in my cosy, warm burrow with my crazy kids when I hear the flapping of a buzzard's wings. I quickly heard up all of my 4000 kids. We sit huddled up for an hour. When I finally think the coast is clear I poke my head out of the hole but then I get dive bombed by buzzards. But then the roof started to come down. We ran as fast as we could, when me and my wife Amy reached safety we turned around and watched are 4000 kids become zero kids. But then it saw use and in a mater of seconds we were dead...

Cayla's 100wc - week 33:

Running, running as fast as I could they were chasing me: the beautiful crystle white birds glimmering in the sun the louder their whines the faster I ran! I tried to act calm (however I was emotionally torn bye this event). The birds swooped down and everything went hideously black. Black, I had always been scared of black I rummaged around to find out where I was: I was in the bird's stomach...

Furiously I hectically banged against each side of the stupid birds. I bound to get out will die trying to get free from this hell hole!
